Anti-BAF chromatin remodeling complex subunit BCL7C antibodies are used for the immunodetection of the protein encoded by the BCL7C gene. In humans, the canonical protein has a reported length of 217 amino acid residues and a mass of 23.5 kDa. Alternative splicing is reported to yield 2 different isoforms for this protein. It is ubiquitously expressed across many tissue types. A member of the BCL7 protein family, it is believed to play an anti-apoptotic role. Other names for this target antigen include B-cell CLL/lymphoma 7 protein family member C, B-cell CLL/lymphoma 7C, BCL tumor suppressor 7C, BCL7C, BAF complex component, and SMARCJ3. Gene orthologs have been identified in the mouse, rat, bovine, frog and chimpanzee species.
