Anti-MEAK7 antibodies are used in the immunodetection of the protein MTOR associated protein, eak-7 homolog. In humans, the canonical protein has a reported length of 456 amino acid residues and a mass of 51 kDa. Its subcellular localization is in the membrane, lysosomes and cytoplasm. It is notably widely expressed in many tissue types. MEAK7 is known to be involved with the response to oxidative stress and the regulation of cell proliferation. Synonyms for this target antigen include TBC/LysM-associated domain containing 1, TBC/LysM-associated domain-containing protein 1, TLD domain containing 1, TLD domain-containing protein 1, mammalian EAK-7, and MTOR-associated protein MEAK7. MEAK7 gene orthologs have been reported in the mouse, rat, bovine, frog, zebrafish, chimpanzee and chicken species.
