Anti-TSR1 ribosome maturation factor antibodies are used for the immunodetection of the protein encoded by the TSR1 gene. In humans, the canonical protein has a reported length of 804 amino acid residues and a mass of 91.8 kDa. Its subcellular localization is in the nucleus. A member of the Bms1-like GTPase protein family, it is known to be required during maturation of the 40S ribosomal subunit in the nucleolus. Other names for this target antigen include pre-rRNA-processing protein TSR1 homolog. Gene orthologs have been identified in the mouse, rat, bovine, frog, zebrafish, chimpanzee and chicken species.
