Anti-La ribonucleoprotein 1B antibodies are used for the immunodetection of the protein encoded by the LARP1B gene. In humans, the canonical protein has a reported length of 914 amino acid residues and a mass of 105.3 kDa. Alternative splicing is reported to yield 9 different isoforms for this protein. It is a member of the LARP protein family. Other names for this target antigen include la-related protein 1B, La ribonucleoprotein domain family member 1B, La ribonucleoprotein domain family, member 2, la-related protein 2, and LARP2. Gene orthologs have been identified in the mouse, rat, bovine, frog, chimpanzee and chicken species.
