Anti-spliceosome associated factor 3, U4/U6 recycling protein antibodies are used for the immunodetection of the protein encoded by the SART3 gene. In humans, the canonical protein has a reported length of 963 amino acid residues and a mass of 109.9 kDa. Its subcellular localization is in the nucleus and cytoplasm. Alternative splicing is reported to yield 4 different isoforms for this protein. It is ubiquitously expressed across many tissue types. It is noted to be involved in RNA splicing and the regulation of gene expression. Other names for this target antigen include P100, TIP110, p110, p110(nrb), and DSAP1. Gene orthologs have been identified in the mouse, rat, bovine, frog, zebrafish, chimpanzee and chicken species.
