Anti-FMRP translational regulator 1 antibodies are used in antigen-specific immunodetection in biological samples. The target FMRP translational regulator 1 is a known alias name of the protein fragile X messenger ribonucleoprotein 1, encoded by the FMR1 gene in humans. This 632-amino acid residue protein is known to be involved in viral immune response and DNA repair, among other biological processes. It is localized to the cytoplasm of the cell and features methylated, ubiquitinated, cleaved and phosphorylated post-translational modifications. In terms of tissue expression, it is reported to be expressed in the brain, cerebellum and testis. Other synonyms for FMRP translational regulator 1 include FMRP, FRAXA, and POF.
