Anti-testis expressed basic protein 1 antibodies are used for the immunodetection of the protein encoded by the TSBP1 gene. In humans, the canonical protein has a reported length of 563 amino acid residues and a mass of 61.6 kDa. Its subcellular localization is in the membrane. Alternative splicing is reported to yield 3 different isoforms for this protein. Other names for this target antigen include TSBP, testis specific basic protein, uncharacterized protein C6orf10, and C6orf10. Gene orthologs have been identified in the mouse, rat, bovine and chimpanzee species.
