Anti-SPC25 component of NDC80 kinetochore complex antibodies are used for the immunodetection of the protein encoded by the SPC25 gene. In humans, the canonical protein has a reported length of 224 amino acid residues and a mass of 26.2 kDa. Its subcellular localization is in the nucleus. A member of the SPC25 protein family, it is known to act as a component of the essential kinetochore-associated NDC80 complex, which is required for chromosome segregation and spindle checkpoint activity.
