Anti-DET1 partner of COP1 E3 ubiquitin ligase antibodies are used for the immunodetection of the protein encoded by the DET1 gene. In humans, the canonical protein has a reported length of 550 amino acid residues and a mass of 63.8 kDa. Its subcellular localization is in the nucleus. Alternative splicing is reported to yield 2 different isoforms for this protein. It is reported to be highly expressed in the ovary, some lymphoid organs and resting leukocytes. A member of the DET1 protein family, it is a known component of the E3 ubiquitin ligase DCX DET1-COP1 complex, which is required for ubiquitination and subsequent degradation of target proteins. Other names for this target antigen include DET1, COP1 ubiquitin ligase partner, de-etiolated homolog 1, and DET1 homolog. Gene orthologs have been identified in the mouse, rat, bovine, frog, zebrafish, chimpanzee and chicken species.
