Anti-Ubiquitin-related modifier 1 antibodies are used in antigen-specific immunodetection in biological samples. The target Ubiquitin-related modifier 1 is a known alias name of the protein ubiquitin related modifier 1, encoded by the URM1 gene in humans. This 101-amino acid residue protein is known to act as a sulfur carrier required for 2-thiolation of mcm(5)S(2)U at tRNA wobble positions of cytosolic tRNA(Lys), tRNA(Glu) and tRNA(Gln). It is localized to the cytoplasm of the cell. It is reported to be widely expressed in many tissue types.
