Anti-mEFG1 antibodies are protein reagents that detect specific antigens. The mEFG1 antigen is another term for the human protein G elongation factor mitochondrial 1, encoded by the GFM1 gene. The protein is reported to be a Mitochondrial GTPase that catalyzes the GTP-dependent ribosomal translocation step during translation elongation. Canonically, it has an amino acid length of 751 residues and a mass of 83.5 kilodaltons. Its subcellular localization is in the mitochondria and it is widely expressed in many tissue types. The mEFG1 protein is a member of the Classic translation factor GTPase protein family.
