Anti-I-kappaB kinase beta antibodies are protein reagents that detect specific antigens. The I-kappaB kinase beta antigen is another term for the human protein inhibitor of nuclear factor kappa B kinase subunit beta, encoded by the IKBKB gene. The protein is reported to be a serine kinase that plays an essential role in the NF-kappa-B signaling pathway which is activated by multiple stimuli such as inflammatory cytokines, bacterial or viral products, DNA damages or other cellular stresses. Canonically, it has an amino acid length of 756 residues and a mass of 86.6 kilodaltons. Its subcellular localization is in the nucleus and cytoplasm and it is reported to be highly expressed in the heart, placenta, skeletal muscle, kidney, pancreas, spleen, thymus, prostate, testis and peripheral blood. The I-kappaB kinase beta protein is a member of the Ser/Thr protein kinase protein family.
