Anti-Ras-like protein A antibodies are used in antigen-specific immunodetection in biological samples. The target Ras-like protein A is a known alias name of the protein RAS like proto-oncogene A, encoded by the RALA gene in humans. This 206-amino acid residue protein is known to be a Multifunctional GTPase involved in a variety of cellular processes including gene expression, cell migration, cell proliferation, oncogenic transformation and membrane trafficking. It is localized to the mitochondria and cell membrane of the cell and features phosphorylated and glycosylated post-translational modifications. It is reported to be widely expressed in many tissue types.
