Anti-laat-1 antibodies are used in antigen-specific immunodetection in biological samples. The target laat-1 is a known alias name of the protein solute carrier family 66 member 1, encoded by the SLC66A1 gene in humans. This 291-amino acid residue protein is known to be involved in transmembrane transport, among other biological processes. It is localized to the lysosomes of the cell and features glycosylated post-translational modifications. It is reported to be expressed in many tissues, such as the bronchus and nasopharynx.
