Anti-Synaptosomal-associated protein 25kDa antibodies are protein reagents that detect specific antigens. The Synaptosomal-associated protein 25kDa antigen is another term for the human protein synaptosome associated protein 25, encoded by the SNAP25 gene. The protein is known to function in chemical synaptic transmission and exocytosis, among other biological roles. Canonically, it has an amino acid length of 206 residues and a mass of 23.3 kilodaltons. Its subcellular localization is in the cell membrane and cytoplasm and it is expressed in the cerebellum and cerebral cortex. The Synaptosomal-associated protein 25kDa protein is a member of the SNAP-25 protein family.
