Anti-DNAI7 antibodies are used in the immunodetection of the protein dynein axonemal intermediate chain 7. In humans, the canonical protein has a reported length of 716 amino acid residues and a mass of 83.2 kDa. Its subcellular localization is in the cell projections and cytoplasm. Up to 4 different isoforms have been reported for this protein. It is notably expressed in the testis, nasopharynx, lung, fallopian tube, and bronchus. It is a member of the DNAI7 protein family. Post-translational modifications have been described, including ubiquitination. Synonyms for this target antigen include CFAP94, LAS1, PPP1R54, cancer susceptibility 1, cancer susceptibility candidate 1, and CASC1. DNAI7 gene orthologs have been reported in the mouse, rat, bovine, frog, zebrafish, chimpanzee and chicken species.
