Anti-CYRIB antibodies are used in the immunodetection of the protein CYFIP related Rac1 interactor B. In humans, the canonical protein has a reported length of 324 amino acid residues and a mass of 36.7 kDa. Its subcellular localization is in the mitochondria and membrane. Up to 2 different isoforms have been reported for this protein. It is notably expressed in many tissues, such as the cerebral cortex and kidney. It is a member of the CYRI protein family. Post-translational modifications have been described, including ubiquitination. Synonyms for this target antigen include CYRI, FAM49B, L1, FAM49B/JPH1 fusion, MTSS1/FAM49B fusion, and BM-009. CYRIB gene orthologs have been reported in the mouse, rat, bovine, frog, chimpanzee and chicken species.
