Anti-Ribosomal protein S15 antibodies are directed against the protein encoded by the gene RPS15 in humans. The gene may also be known as RIG, 40S ribosomal protein S15, and homolog of rat insulinoma. Structurally, the protein is reported to be 17 kilodaltons in mass. Based on gene name, yeast, plant, fly, canine, porcine, monkey, mouse and rat orthologs may also be found.
