Anti-CDH24 antibodies are used in the immunodetection of the protein cadherin 24. In humans, the canonical protein has a reported length of 819 amino acid residues and a mass of 87.8 kDa. Its subcellular localization is in the cell membrane. Up to 3 different isoforms have been reported for this protein. CDH24 is known to be involved with cell adhesion. Post-translational modifications have been described, including glycosylation. The CDH24 marker can be used to identify Deep-Layer Corticothalamic And 6B Neurons.* Synonyms for this target antigen include cadherin 24, type 2. CDH24 gene orthologs have been reported in the mouse, rat, bovine, frog and chimpanzee species. A number of Cdh24 antibodies have been mentioned in research publications and have associated citations. Western Blot is a widely used application for these antibodies. ELISA, Immunofluorescence, and Immunohistochemistry are also common applications.
