Anti-FYB1 antibodies are used in the immunodetection of the protein FYN binding protein 1. In humans, the canonical protein has a reported length of 783 amino acid residues and a mass of 85.4 kDa. Its subcellular localization is in the nucleus and cytoplasm. Up to 3 different isoforms have been reported for this protein. It is reported to be expressed in hematopoietic tissues such as myeloid and T-cells, spleen and thymus. FYB1 is known to act as a adapter protein of the FYN and LCP2 signaling cascades in T-cells (By similarity). Post-translational modifications have been described, including phosphorylation. Synonyms for this target antigen include FYB, PRO0823, SLAP-130, SLAP130, THC3, FYB-120/130, FYN-T-binding protein, and ADAP. FYB1 gene orthologs have been reported in the mouse, rat, bovine, frog, chimpanzee and chicken species. Some FYB1 antibodies may have been used in research and have associated citations. Western Blot is a widely used application for these antibodies. ELISA, Immunocytochemistry, and Immunofluorescence are also common applications.
