Anti-CIAO3 antibodies are used in the immunodetection of the protein cytosolic iron-sulfur assembly component 3. In humans, the canonical protein has a reported length of 476 amino acid residues and a mass of 53 kDa. Up to 3 different isoforms have been reported for this protein. It is widely expressed across many tissue types. A member of the NARF protein family, CIAO3 is a known component of the cytosolic iron-sulfur protein assembly (CIA) complex, a multiprotein complex that mediates the incorporation of iron-sulfur cluster into extramitochondrial Fe/S proteins. Synonyms for this target antigen include cytosolic Fe-S cluster assembly factor NARFL, iron-only hydrogenase-like protein 1, nuclear prelamin A recognition factor like, protein related to Narf, and LET1 like/JFP15. CIAO3 gene orthologs have been reported in the mouse, rat, bovine, frog, zebrafish, chimpanzee and chicken species. A number of CIAO3 antibodies have been mentioned in research publications and have associated citations. Western Blot is a widely used application for these antibodies. ELISA, Immunofluorescence, and Immunohistochemistry are also common applications.
