Anti-CSAG family member 3 antibodies are used for the immunodetection of the protein encoded by the CSAG3 gene. In humans, the canonical protein has a reported length of 127 amino acid residues and a mass of 14.4 kDa. Alternative splicing is reported to yield 3 different isoforms for this protein. It is reported to be weakly expressed in the kidney. It is noted to be involved in the response to xenobiotic compounds. Other names for this target antigen include CSAG family, member 3A, cancer/testis antigen 24.2, taxol resistance associated gene 3, taxol-resistant-associated gene 3 protein, and chondrosarcoma-associated gene 2/3 protein.
