Anti-rhomboid like 3 antibodies are used for the immunodetection of the protein encoded by the RHBDL3 gene. In humans, the canonical protein has a reported length of 404 amino acid residues and a mass of 45.2 kDa. Its subcellular localization is in the membrane. Alternative splicing is reported to yield 3 different isoforms for this protein. A member of the Peptidase S54 protein family, it is suspected to be involved in regulated intramembrane proteolysis and the subsequent release of functional polypeptides from their membrane anchors. Other names for this target antigen include rhomboid, veinlet-like 3, rhomboid, veinlet-like 4, ventrhoid transmembrane protein, and rhomboid-related protein 3. Gene orthologs have been identified in the mouse, rat, bovine, frog, zebrafish, chimpanzee and chicken species. Indicated applications for rhomboid like 3 antibodies listed below include ELISA, Flow Cytometry, Western Blot, Immunofluorescence, and Immunohistochemistry.
