Anti-RNA exonuclease 5 antibodies are used for the immunodetection of the protein encoded by the REXO5 gene. In humans, the canonical protein has a reported length of 774 amino acid residues and a mass of 86.9 kDa. Alternative splicing is reported to yield 2 different isoforms for this protein. Other names for this target antigen include exonuclease NEF-sp and putative RNA exonuclease NEF-sp. Gene orthologs have been identified in the mouse, rat, bovine, frog, chimpanzee and chicken species. Some RNA exonuclease 5 antibodies may have been used in research and have associated citations. These antibodies are most commonly used in Western Blot experiments, among other applications.
