Anti-PR/SET domain 12 antibodies are used for the immunodetection of the protein encoded by the PRDM12 gene. In humans, the canonical protein has a reported length of 367 amino acid residues and a mass of 40.4 kDa. Its subcellular localization is in the nucleus. A member of the Class V-like SAM-binding methyltransferase protein superfamily, it is reported to be involved in positive regulation of histone H3-K9 dimethylation. The gene encoding this protein is implicated in Neuropathy. Other names for this target antigen include PR domain zinc finger protein 12 and PR domain containing 12. Gene orthologs have been identified in the mouse, rat, bovine, frog, zebrafish, chimpanzee and chicken species. Western Blot is a widely used application for the PR/SET domain 12 antibodies listed below. In addition, ELISA is also a common application.
