Anti-GSG1 like antibodies are used for the immunodetection of the protein encoded by the GSG1L gene. In humans, the canonical protein has a reported length of 331 amino acid residues and a mass of 36.8 kDa. Its subcellular localization is in the cell membrane. Alternative splicing is reported to yield 4 different isoforms for this protein. It is a member of the GSG1 protein family. Other names for this target antigen include GSG1-like protein, KTSR5831, and germ cell-specific gene 1-like protein. Gene orthologs have been identified in the mouse, rat, bovine, frog, chimpanzee and chicken species. ELISA, Western Blot, and Immunohistochemistry are common applications for GSG1 like antibodies.
