Anti-Lp-PLA2 antibodies are used in antigen-specific immunodetection in biological samples. The target Lp-PLA2 is a known alias name of the protein phospholipase A2 group VII, encoded by the PLA2G7 gene in humans. This 441-amino acid residue protein is known to be involved in metabolic processes, among other biological processes. The protein is secreted and features N-glycosylated post-translational modifications. Other synonyms for Lp-PLA2 include LDL-PLA2 and PAFAD. Indicated applications for Lp-PLA2 antibodies listed below include ELISA, Flow Cytometry, Western Blot, and Immunohistochemistry.
