Anti-Leucine rich repeat kinase 2 antibodies are directed against the protein encoded by the gene LRRK2 in humans. The gene may also be known as AURA17, DARDARIN, PARK8, RIPK7, leucine-rich repeat serine/threonine-protein kinase 2, and augmented in rheumatoid arthritis 17. Structurally, the protein is reported to be 286.1 kilodaltons in mass. Based on gene name, canine, porcine, monkey, mouse and rat orthologs may also be found.
