Anti-AFG1 like ATPase antibodies are used for the immunodetection of the protein encoded by the AFG1L gene. In humans, the canonical protein has a reported length of 481 amino acid residues and a mass of 54.8 kDa. Its subcellular localization is in the mitochondria. A member of the AFG1 ATPase protein family, it is believed to be a type of mitochondrial ATPase. Other names for this target antigen include CG8520 gene product, lactation elevated 1, lactation elevated protein 1, and ATPase family gene 1 homolog. Gene orthologs have been identified in the mouse, rat, bovine, frog, zebrafish, chimpanzee and chicken species. Western Blot is the most common application for the AFG1 like ATPase antibodies listed below. Immunofluorescence and Immunohistochemistry are also common applications.
