Anti-PCLAF antibodies are used in the immunodetection of the protein PCNA clamp associated factor. In humans, the canonical protein has a reported length of 111 amino acid residues and a mass of 12 kDa. Its subcellular localization is in the nucleus and cytoplasm. Up to 2 different isoforms have been reported for this protein. It is reported to be highly expressed in the liver, pancreas and placenta. PCLAF is reported to be a PCNA-binding protein that acts as a regulator of DNA repair during DNA replication. Post-translational modifications have been described, including ubiquitination. Synonyms for this target antigen include KIAA0101 and L5. PCLAF gene orthologs have been reported in the mouse, rat, bovine, frog, zebrafish, chimpanzee and chicken species. A number of PCLAF antibodies have been mentioned in research publications and have associated citations. Western Blot is a widely used application for these antibodies. ELISA and Immunohistochemistry are also common applications.
