Anti-TRB2 antibodies are used in antigen-specific immunodetection in biological samples. The target TRB2 is a known alias name of the protein taste 2 receptor member 10, encoded by the TAS2R10 gene in humans. This 307-amino acid residue protein is a member of the G-protein coupled receptor T2R protein family. It is localized to the membrane of the cell and features glycosylated post-translational modifications. In terms of tissue expression, it is reported to be expressed in subsets of taste receptor cells of the tongue and palate epithelium and exclusively in gustducin-positive cells.
