Anti-VEPH1 antibodies are used in the immunodetection of the protein ventricular zone expressed PH domain containing 1. In humans, the canonical protein has a reported length of 833 amino acid residues and a mass of 94.7 kDa. Its subcellular localization is in the cell membrane. Up to 4 different isoforms have been reported for this protein. It is a member of the MELT/VEPH protein family. The VEPH1 marker can be used to identify Lower Rhombic Lip Neurons.* Synonyms for this target antigen include protein melted, ventricular zone expressed PH domain homolog 1, and ventricular zone-expressed PH domain-containing protein homolog 1. VEPH1 gene orthologs have been reported in the mouse, rat, bovine, frog, zebrafish, chimpanzee and chicken species.
