Anti-PHOSPHO1 antibodies are used in the immunodetection of the protein phosphoethanolamine/phosphocholine phosphatase 1. In humans, the canonical protein has a reported length of 267 amino acid residues and a mass of 29.7 kDa. It has been described to be a secreted protein. Up to 3 different isoforms have been reported for this protein. It is noted to be expressed at sites of mineralization in bone and cartilage. A member of the PHOSPHO protein family, PHOSPHO1 is a reported phosphatase that has a high activity toward phosphoethanolamine (PEA) and phosphocholine (PCho). Synonyms for this target antigen include phosphoethanolamine/phosphocholine phosphatase and phosphatase, orphan 1. PHOSPHO1 gene orthologs have been reported in the mouse, rat, bovine, frog, zebrafish, chimpanzee and chicken species. Some PHOSPHO1 antibodies may have been used in research and have associated citations. ELISA is a widely used application for these antibodies. Western Blot and Immunofluorescence are also common applications.
