Anti-FAM174A antibodies are used in the immunodetection of the protein family with sequence similarity 174 member A. In humans, the canonical protein has a reported length of 190 amino acid residues and a mass of 20 kDa. Its subcellular localization is in the membrane. It is notably widely expressed in many tissue types. It is a member of the FAM174 protein family. Post-translational modifications have been described, including glycosylation. Synonyms for this target antigen include HCV NS5A-transactivated protein 6, hepatitis C virus NS5A-transactivated protein 6, hepatitis C virus nonstructural protein 5A trans-activated protein 6, and membrane protein FAM174A. FAM174A gene orthologs have been reported in the mouse, rat, bovine, frog, chimpanzee and chicken species. ELISA, Western Blot, Immunocytochemistry, Immunofluorescence, and Immunohistochemistry are common applications for FAM174A antibodies.
