Anti-PR domain 1 antibodies are protein reagents that detect specific antigens. The PR domain 1 antigen is another term for the human protein PR/SET domain 1, encoded by the PRDM1 gene. The protein is reported to be a transcription factor that mediates a transcriptional program in various innate and adaptive immune tissue-resident lymphocyte T cell types such as tissue-resident memory T (Trm), natural killer (trNK) and natural killer T (NKT) cells and negatively regulates gene expression of proteins that promote the egress of tissue-resident T-cell populations from non-lymphoid organs. Canonically, it has an amino acid length of 825 residues and a mass of 91.8 kilodaltons. Its subcellular localization is in the nucleus and cytoplasm and it is widely expressed in many tissue types. The PR domain 1 protein is a member of the Class V-like SAM-binding methyltransferase protein superfamily.
