Anti-CSH1 antibodies are used in the immunodetection of the protein chorionic somatomammotropin hormone 1. In humans, the canonical protein has a reported length of 217 amino acid residues and a mass of 25 kDa. It has been described to be a secreted protein. It is notably expressed in the pituitary gland and placenta. It is a member of the Somatotropin/prolactin protein family. The CSH1 marker can be used to identify Syncytiotrophoblasts (STB).* Synonyms for this target antigen include CSA, CSMT, GHB3, PL, hCS-1, hCS-A, choriomammotropin, and CS-1. A number of CSH1 antibodies have been mentioned in research publications and have associated citations. Western Blot is a widely used application for these antibodies. ELISA and Immunohistochemistry are also common applications.
