Anti-NHLH2 antibodies are used in the immunodetection of the protein nescient helix-loop-helix 2. In humans, the canonical protein has a reported length of 135 amino acid residues and a mass of 15 kDa. Its subcellular localization is in the nucleus. NHLH2 is known to be a transcription factor which binds the E box motif 5'-CA[TC][AG]TG-3'. The NHLH2 gene has been associated with the disease, Hypogonadotropic hypogonadism 27 without anosmia. Synonyms for this target antigen include HH27, NSCL2, bHLHa34, helix-loop-helix protein 2, HEN-2, NSCL-2, class A basic helix-loop-helix protein 34, and HEN2. NHLH2 gene orthologs have been reported in the mouse, rat, bovine, frog, chimpanzee and chicken species. Western Blot is the most common application for the NHLH2 antibodies listed below. ELISA, Immunofluorescence, and Immunohistochemistry are also common applications.
