Anti-NECTIN1 antibodies are used in the immunodetection of the protein nectin cell adhesion molecule 1. In humans, the canonical protein has a reported length of 517 amino acid residues and a mass of 57.2 kDa. Its subcellular localization is in the cell membrane and is also secreted. Alternative splicing is reported to yield 3 different isoforms for this protein. A member of a the Nectin protein family, NECTIN1 is reported to promote cell-cell contacts by forming homophilic or heterophilic trans-dimers. Post-translational modifications have been described, including glycosylation. Synonyms for this target antigen include CLPED1, ED4, HIgR, HV1S, HVEC, OFC7, PRR, and CD111.
