Anti-Angiopoietin like 8 antibodies are directed against the protein encoded by the gene ANGPTL8 in humans. The angiopoietin like 8 protein has a reported amino acid length of 198 and an expected mass of 22.1 kDa. The protein may also be known as C19orf80, PRO1185, PVPA599, RIFL, angiopoietin-like protein 8, and betatrophin variant 1. Variants of this antigen may also be found in other species, including canine, porcine, monkey, mouse and rat.
