Anti-GMFG antibodies are used in the immunodetection of the protein glia maturation factor gamma. In humans, the canonical protein has a reported length of 142 amino acid residues and a mass of 16.8 kDa. It is reported to be highly expressed in the lung, heart and placenta. A member of the Actin-binding proteins ADF protein family, GMFG is known to be involved with protein phosphorylation. Synonyms for this target antigen include GMF-GAMMA. GMFG gene orthologs have been reported in the mouse, rat, bovine, frog and chimpanzee species. A number of GMFG antibodies have been mentioned in research publications and have associated citations. Western Blot is a widely used application for these antibodies. ELISA, Immunofluorescence, and Immunohistochemistry are also common applications.
