Anti-Fc receptor like 3 antibodies are used for the immunodetection of the protein encoded by the FCRL3 gene. In humans, the canonical protein has a reported length of 734 amino acid residues and a mass of 80.9 kDa. Its subcellular localization is in the cell membrane. Alternative splicing is reported to yield 7 different isoforms for this protein. It is notably expressed in secondary lymphoid tissues by mature subsets of B-cells. It is reported to promote TLR9-induced B-cell proliferation, activation and survival but inhibits antibody production and suppresses plasma cell differentiation. Other names for this target antigen include Fc receptor homolog 3, IFGP family protein 3, SH2 domain-containing phosphatase anchor protein 2, fcR-like protein 3, hIFGP3, and Fc receptor-like protein 3. Gene orthologs have been identified in the mouse, bovine and chimpanzee species. Some Fc receptor like 3 antibodies may have been used in research and have associated citations. Western Blot is a widely used application for these antibodies. In addition, Flow Cytometry is also a common application.
