Anti-Wnt family member 8B antibodies are used in the immunodetection of the protein encoded by the WNT8B gene. In humans, the canonical protein has a reported length of 351 amino acid residues and a mass of 38.7 kDa. Its subcellular localization is in the extracellular matrix and is also secreted. A member of the Wnt protein family, it is known to be involved with the Wnt signaling pathway and nervous system development. Post-translational modifications have been described, including protein cleavage and glycosylation. Other names for this target antigen include epididymis secretory sperm binding protein, wingless-type MMTV integration site family, member 8B, and protein Wnt-8b.
