Anti-POLR1G antibodies are used in the immunodetection of the protein RNA polymerase I subunit G. In humans, the canonical protein has a reported length of 510 amino acid residues and a mass of 55 kDa. Its subcellular localization is in the nucleus. Up to 2 different isoforms have been reported for this protein. It is notably widely expressed in many tissue types. It is a member of the Eukaryotic RPA34 RNA polymerase subunit protein family. Post-translational modifications have been described, including phosphorylation. Synonyms for this target antigen include ASE1, CD3EAP, PAF49, RPA34, and ASE-1. POLR1G gene orthologs have been reported in the mouse, rat, bovine, frog and chimpanzee species.
