Anti-GJA10 antibodies are used in the immunodetection of the protein gap junction protein alpha 10. In humans, the canonical protein has a reported length of 543 amino acid residues and a mass of 61.9 kDa. Its subcellular localization is in the cell membrane. It is reported to be expressed in skeletal muscle and heart. A member of the Connexin protein family, GJA10 is known to be involved with cell to cell signaling. Synonyms for this target antigen include connexin 62, gap junction protein, alpha 10, 62kDa, and gap junction alpha-10 protein. GJA10 gene orthologs have been reported in the mouse, rat, bovine, frog, zebrafish, chimpanzee and chicken species. A number of GJA10 antibodies have been mentioned in research publications and have associated citations. Western Blot is a widely used application for these antibodies. In addition, Immunocytochemistry is also a common application.
