Anti-Selenoprotein V antibodies are used in the immunodetection of the protein encoded by the SELENOV gene. In humans, the canonical protein has a reported length of 346 amino acid residues and a mass of 36.8 kDa. It is reported to have testis-specific expression. A member of the SelWTH protein family, it is suspected to be involved in a redox-related process. Post-translational modifications have been described, including ubiquitination.
