Anti-Nip2 antibodies enable researchers to detect and measure the Nip2 antigen in biological samples. This target is a reported synonym of the BNIP2 gene, which encodes BCL2 interacting protein 2. This protein is known to function in the apoptotic pathway, among other biological roles. The human version of Nip2 has a canonical amino acid length of 314 residues and a protein mass of 36 kilodaltons, although 2 isoforms have been identified. It is reported to be localized in the cytoplasm of cells and notably expressed in many tissues, such as the bone marrow and lung. Western Blot is the most common application for the Nip2 antibodies listed below. ELISA and Immunohistochemistry are also common applications.
