Anti-Nope antibodies enable researchers to detect and measure the Nope antigen in biological samples. This target is a reported synonym of the IGDCC4 gene, which encodes immunoglobulin superfamily DCC subclass member 4. This protein is known to function in cell adhesion, among other biological roles. The human version of Nope has a canonical amino acid length of 1250 residues and a protein mass of 134.2 kilodaltons, although 2 isoforms have been identified. It is reported to be localized in the cell membrane of cells and notably expressed in many tissues, such as the cerebellum and cerebral cortex. Nope is a member of the DCC protein family.
