Anti-PC5 antibodies enable researchers to detect and measure the PC5 antigen in biological samples. This target is a reported synonym of the PCSK5 gene, which encodes proprotein convertase subtilisin/kexin type 5. This protein is known to function in cell to cell signaling and cardiac tissue development, among other biological roles. The human version of PC5 has a canonical amino acid length of 1860 residues and a protein mass of 206.9 kilodaltons, although 2 isoforms have been identified. It is reported to be a secreted protein that is widely expressed in many tissue types. Other names for this target antigen include PC6 and PC6A. Indicated applications for PC5 antibodies listed below include ELISA, Western Blot, Immunocytochemistry, and Immunohistochemistry.
