Anti-SLC10A6 antibodies are used in the immunodetection of the protein solute carrier family 10 member 6. In humans, the canonical protein has a reported length of 377 amino acid residues and a mass of 41.3 kDa. Its subcellular localization is in the membrane. It is reported to be highly expressed in the testis, placenta and pancreas. A member of the Bile acid:sodium symporter (BASS) (TC 2.A.28) protein family, SLC10A6 is known to be involved with transmembrane transport. Post-translational modifications have been described, including glycosylation. Synonyms for this target antigen include solute carrier family 10 (sodium/bile acid cotransporter family), member 6, solute carrier family 10 (sodium/bile acid cotransporter), member 6, and sodium-dependent organic anion transporter. SLC10A6 gene orthologs have been reported in the mouse, rat, frog and chimpanzee species. Some SLC10A6 antibodies may have been used in research and have associated citations. ELISA is a widely used application for these antibodies. Immunocytochemistry and Immunofluorescence are also common applications.
