Anti-REC114 antibodies are used in the immunodetection of the protein REC114 meiotic recombination protein. In humans, the canonical protein has a reported length of 266 amino acid residues and a mass of 29.2 kDa. A member of the REC114 protein family, REC114 is known to be required for DNA double-strand breaks (DSBs) formation in unsynapsed regions during meiotic recombination. The REC114 gene has been associated with the disease, Oocyte maturation defect. Synonyms for this target antigen include meiotic recombination protein REC114 and meiotic recombination protein REC114-like. REC114 gene orthologs have been reported in the mouse, rat, bovine, frog, zebrafish, chimpanzee and chicken species. Indicated applications for REC114 antibodies listed below include ELISA and Western Blot.
